The shock of learning that your relationship has ended either through separation/divorce or someone dying unexpectedly, can be overwhelming and destabalising. Having a space to process your feelings and what this loss means for you, can really help you through.
When loss is expected, it can still come as a shock and you may experience mixed feelings. Learning to live without the person in your life and buidling a new life can be difficult but it is possible.
When we know and ending is coming, feelings of grief can become part of our daily lives as we anticipate the losses and the changes to our lives, even though the person may continue to live elsewhere or still living with us.
Not being able to share your grief with people, when your loss can't be openly acknowledged for example, the ending of an affair, death of an ex-partner, or the loss of a beloved pet. These losses can feel especially lonely to go through as they may be unseen by anyone else.
Sometimes, the grieving process becomes stuck and you can't find a way to move forward or find a way to live with the loss. Having a space to talk, and open up new perspectives, will help you start living again.
The losses when a relationship ends either thought separation or death, can be far reaching. Loss of identity, loss of social status, loss of friends, loss of future plans, loss of finances, loss of home and these all bring additional stress and pressure at an already difficult time.
Grief from losses when someone hasn't died. A relationship may have ended through separation or divorce or a situation, such as leaving or losing a job or losing an aspect of your health can be difficult to process and needs to be grieved.
