I’ve been working as a therapist in London since 2015, supporting people through many of life's challenges such as grief, loss and bereavement, relationship difficulties, work stress, addiction, depression and anxiety.
My training was integrative, which means I draw upon a different ideas and theories to help me understand your experiences and problems from different perspectives.
In addition to private pratice, I also work in charitable organisations and with workplace EAP’s.
I’m a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
Before training to be a therapist, I worked as a support worker in the charity sector for twelve years, supporting homeless people, people with mental health issues, people with addictions – drugs, alcohol and gambling and in the women’s sector, with women affected by domestic abuse.
My first career was in television production.
My approach
As a therapist, I'm supportive, empathic and curious. I'm active in sessions and will ask you questions to help you explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences more deeply to help you understand and makes sense of them.
I'm very interested in how you make meaning in your life and how choice, responsiblity, freedom, uncertainty and death are present. I'm also interested in how your upbringing has shaped your values and beliefs, how you see yourself, others and the world.
I'm also interested in the stories you tell yourself about yourself and how these stories may liming you and keeping you stuck.
My approach is collaborative, so we'll work together to think about and understand your experiences, what is working for you and what's not working, exploring new ways of thinking about your problems to help you make changes in whatever way feels helpful for you.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, music festivals, fitness and art.
