FAQs

How does therapy work?

Therapy is a collaborative process, so we’ll work together to explore and understand your issues, helping you to see them more clearly. This will help you to become more self-aware and will open up new possibilities and choices.

Do you offer an initial session?

Yes, we’ll arrange an initial session, which is an opportunity for us to meet and for you to tell me more about what you’re looking for from therapy. I’ll be asking you some questions to help me understand you and your issues in the context of your life and relationships.

Can I talk to you before booking an initial session?

Yes, I offer a free 10-15 minute phone call, so you can tell me a bit more about what you’re looking for from therapy and you can ask me any questions you may have.

When do therapy sessions take place?

We’ll agree to meet on the same day and at the same time each week, so we can both hold the space in mind.

Do you offer fortnightly sessions?

Not initially. Weekly sessions will allow us to work on your issues much more quickly and effectively.  After an agreed period of weekly sessions, we can review how it’s going and discuss moving to fortnightly sessions.

How long do sessions last?

Sessions last 50 minutes.

How many sessions will I need?

This is something we can discuss in the initial session. I generally work on an open-ended basis, so we can work together for as long as it feels helpful to you.
